November Meeting Recap

Over 25 dozen cookies were baked and preserved at our November 13th meeting! Wow! All of the cookies that we baked will be donated to the St. David's Cookie Walk and to our shut-ins on December 15th.

 A very meaningful and fitting "Thanksgiving" poem was shared by Nancy Costello and Judy Marsh. Nancy also gave everyone one of her homemade leaf cookies. Thank-you!   

Trisha was lucky to win the "Cookies For A Year" drawing. She will be receiving a variety of cookies once a month for an entire year, thanks to Mitz!

ADOPT A FAMILY UPDATE:

We have collected $220 for the Kaltreider family. It has been decided that we will purchase an already prepared ham or turkey meal from Giant for the family at a time of their choosing. There are 4 family members, including an elementary-aged girl. With the remainder of the funds, we will purchase gift cards for the family. A SIC spokesperson(s) will present the family with a greeting card, gifts and meal the week prior to Christmas. COINS FOR CHRIST UPDATE:

An additional $494 in change has been collected towards the St. David's Building Fund. That makes a total of $1,596 raised!!!  Keep your change coming! This is an ongoing campaign for all members of St. David's UCC to participate in.  See this post for details.

SIC CHRISTMAS PARTY:

The SIC Christmas party will be held on December 20th in the Grove at 7 p.m. Everyone is asked to bring something to share. There is a sign-up sheet posted on the bulletin board in the Sanctuary. Please sign-up for what you would like to bring in the appropriate column. Also, please bring a $5 wrapped gift to exchange. Kelly and Janis will supply the paper products, place settings and decorations for a festive evening of Christian love and fellowship!
