April Tea Party Recap

Many thanks to all the Sisters for making our 2nd annual tea party a delightful event!

Dawn and Linda presented a very heartfelt and meaningful devotion. They also crafted note cards and "Tea Favors" for everyone to take home! Thank-you Dawn and Linda!

In between sipping teas and nibbling on delectable desserts and tiny tea sandwiches, we discussed our upcoming Service Project to plant flowers around the church grounds. It was decided that we would purchase our mulch from a SWSD Fundraiser project. Charlie Bowman will let us know how many bags of mulch will be needed. He was kind enough to offer to deliver the bags of mulch to the church on May 10th. For the next two weeks, we will be collecting monetary donations from the congregation to help cover the cost of the flowers and mulch.  It was also decided that the sisters would help purchase the flowers. I will be e-mailing out a sign-up sheet to the SIC group, if you would like to sign-up to purchase flowers. Feel free to purchase the flowers from an establishment of your choosing. Just bring them along with you when we meet on May the 10th at 6:30 p.m. in the church parking lot.

Don't forget your gardening gloves, shovels, rakes, etc!

I encourage all sisters to participate in this Service Project on May 10th, as the more hands we have, the quicker we can get it done.

Thank you all in advance for helping to make our church a cheerful and welcoming place of worship!

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. Psalm 90:17.
