The Sisters in Christ family picnic was a very nice affair. It was a wonderful day for picnicking and sharing in good food and conversation at Codorus State Park. Thanks to everyone who came out and a special thank-you to Pat and Nancy Costello for the complimentary pontoon boat rides!
I hope you are all enjoying your summer. It's hard to believe that in a mere two weeks the children will be back in school and we will be headed into another season. Can you believe that the stores are stocked with fall decorations and candy corn?!? Say it isn't so!
On a positive note and with the upcoming fall season, SIC meetings will soon be back in full swing. Yahoo! I sure do miss my ladies!
We will gear up with our SIC Promotion Sunday on September 14th at the 8:45 a.m. Traditional Church Service. The Sisters in Christ will meet at the first service to be Greeters, Ushers and Lay Readers. Please plan to sit together and wear your purple t's. We will also be having a bake sale before and after the Traditional and Contemporary church services. Everyone is asked to bring individually wrapped baked items to sell. Please package them to sell - people like creative packaging and easy transport. The proceeds will benefit future Sisters in Christ service projects. The purpose of SIC Promotion Sunday is to highlight our group and promote interest. We want to let all the women of St. David's know that they are welcome any time! Please plan to attend this very important event to show your enthusiasm and support of our small group ministry.
