Yard Sale Success and Next Meeting and Other News!

The Sisters in Christ held a fundraiser yard sale on Saturday, September 26th.  Total proceeds raised = $202!! This money will help purchase items for needy families at Christmas, and other SIC service projects throughout the year.  Please refer to the "Expenditures" tab at the top of the Blog to see where SIC uses their funds.

Many thanks to the Sisters who participated in the yard sale. Despite the cold weather, we had a great time of fellowship and shopping each others sale items!

NEXT MEETING:

Our next meeting will take place on October 15th at 7 p.m. in the Grove.  It is our "Getting To Know You Better Meeting" - no agenda, just a good ol' girls get together where we will chit chat and hang out a lil'. Janis Brode will chair the meeting.  I think she mentioned a game or two and maybe a prize! If you like, please bring a snack to share. This meeting would be the perfect opportunity to invite another lady of St. David's who has never been to SIC. Hope to see you all there!

OPERATION SHOE BOX: 

If you would like to participate in Operation Shoe Box, we will be collecting items at next Thursday's meeting to send off 2 shoe boxes - 1 boy age 5-9 and 1 girl age 5-9.  Please refer to the link above for more details and suggested items to go into the boxes.

FLOWER MAINTENANCE:

Sadly, it is that time of year to clean up the flower beds around the church.  Listed below is the SIC Fall Clean-Up Crew:

We would like to pull the flowers up this coming Sunday (10/11/15) following the Contemporary Church Service (approximately 12:45 p.m.) We welcome more helpers, as the more we have helping the quicker it will get done.
